1 Scope
This part of lSO 15027 specifies performance and safety requirements for abandonment suits inemergency situations in work and leisure activities to protect the body of a user against the effects of coldwater immersion, such as cold shock and hypothermia, including head, hand and feet protection.

Constant wear suits are not covered by this part of ISO 15027.The requirements of constant wear suitsare given in ISO 15027-1:2012.Test methods are given in ISO 15027-3:2012.

Where references are made to ISO 15027 standards or ISO 12402 standards, they shall beconsidered to be to ANSICAN UL 15027 with the applicable Canadian lUs NationalDifferences where UL Standards exist. Where references are made to particularrequirements within a part they shall include the associated DVs contained in thatstandard, as applicable.
